This microwave39s innovative TruCapture ventilation system keeps fresh air flowing efficiently as you prepare meals Easily see and select all your options on the glass-touch display39s interactive
I purchased this microwave from Pacific sales in May of 2009. In Aug 2011 the microwave began sparking on the inside (arcing) and made loud popping noises. I called Kitchenaid, who sent a repair service ($129 cost to me) who said I would have to replace it. Kitchenaid wanted a second opinion so they sent someone else, who also said it was a fire hazard and would have to be replaced. Kitchenaid said the problem is not under warranty. They offered to replace it for a cost to me of $525 (in addition to $129 for the service charge by the repair company). I will never buy Kitchenaid/Whirlpool again, given a dangerous microwave that broke in two years. Buyer beware!

Sharp KB-6524PS Stainless 24-inch Microwave Drawer. For more than thirty years, Sharp has been the name to trust for cooking innovations like the Carousel microwave turntable. Sharp recently introduced the award-winning Insight Range with the world's first Microwave Drawer Oven. Now Sharp blends style and convenience in a remarkably versatile stand-alone product: the Insight Pro Microwave Drawer Oven. It¿s the most innovative idea yet for where to put the microwave.
I love the functionality of this drawer. The only drawback to me is that there is no 30 sec heat button..... You can do 1 minute, but not 30. Also, getting through the long menus just to do a beverage reheat for 30 secs.... would be much easier if you could press one button instead of 4-5 menu items.... It is the same for popcorn sensor, etc. I love having a microwarve drawer though, and love its open and close features!

With convection cooking capabilities this microwave oven offers more cooking options better results and less cook time than conventional microwaves Features such as the EasyConvect Time and Temperature Conversion System and a glass-touch oven
Purchased in July 09, I was excited about some of the features of this microwave/convection oven and for the nice look of it above our matching regular oven. The microwave part does a good job heating evenly, popping popcorn, etc. I do not use a microwave for cooking (I believe it kills the nutrients in the food), so I love that this has a traditional convection cook setting. The microwave, for me, is primarily used for reheating the occasional leftovers, coffee, etc. I have used the 'crisp' feature several times and it is just ok. It takes a long time and is a little more hassle than just using the broiler or toaster since you have to preheat the crisping pan before you use the feature. You don't have to keep as close an eye on it as a broiler, though, since it shuts off after the programmed amount of time. The convection portion cooks nicely, although I have not used it as much as I'd like. I'm hoping to use it more to save energy by not having to heat the entire cavity of the regular oven. It's perfect for that small batch of cookies or side dish that cooks at a different temp than the rest of dinner. Here are some of the drawbacks: the crisp element on the top of the microwave makes it much more difficult to clean if there were to be any splatters. Be sure to keep everything covered (sometimes difficult with kids around!). I was worried that the door opening forward would bother me, and it did take a few days - and one spilled cup of coffee - to get used to, but otherwise…

I purchased this product to replace a faulty over-the-range microwave. I love to cook and bake frequently, so I knew I wantedmore options than just a microwave. I was thinking about a convection feature when I stumbled upon this oven. I didn't relish the thought and expense of adding yet another 220v line, so I opted for this standard 110v model. Well, now that's it's installed, I am really enjoying trying out its many features. Imagine baking cookies or a frozen pizza, grilled cheese sandwiches, preparing a holiday ham, all of which I've made in this Advantium. The best part is being able to do all this in one appliance that uses less electicity and cooks four times faster than a standard oven. Oh, and did I menton it's also a traditional microwave? It's a bit pricey, but it was well worth the investment.

7 of 7 people found the following review helpful 5.0 out of 5 starsLove my Advantium!, December 19, 2008 By Ann Rogers "Bostons Three" (Durham, NC) - See all my reviews(REAL NAME) I have had my Advantium for about 5 years and I love it! The other reviewer says you have to have a 220V outlet, but that's not true for this oven. It does come in BOTH sizes, and since the title of this item says "120", it will plug into a regular outlet. It's not a really simple to use microwave, but it's extremely versatile. It is very easy, with one push, to make it do 30-second microwave increments at 100%, but if you want to microwave at a lower percent, you really have to know what you're doing! (Turn to "time-cook" under "microwave" , push "enter", then select your time, press "enter", and then turn the power dial and press "enter" again!) I've always said that you can't be simple-minded and use this machine!I love having a small oven which bakes (and REALLY "bake", and not microwave) a casserole or baked goods. It's also wonderful at re-heating pizza using "speed-cook" in just a VERY few minutes, on its black oven tray. It comes out crispy and not floppy like it does when reheated in a microwave.I'm sure it will do a lot more than I have used it for, and I think it's a great combination oven.

This microwave replaced my 10 year old Kenmore MW. After using this for a week I wished my older one had died sooner. ;) This is a far better product considering my older MW didn't have a convection cooking option.Pros* Has all the features we need. Two level cooking is a plus.* Convection oven cooks evenly and quickly.* powerful vent.* This microwave looks great!Cons* The vent fan is powerful but very loud - louder than the average microwave.* the light under the MW far back so it doesn't provide lighting right above the range beneath it.I am a DIY kinda guy and I installed this microwave myself in under 2 hours. The microwave comes with instructions, a template and a bracket like all other over-the-counter microwaves come with. If you plan to install it yourself, then you will find buying the microwave from Amazon as the cheapest option. However, if you are going to hire someone to install it for you, it will cost you around $150 more. One of the local stores was willing to give $75 towards the installation costs which would've made it the cheaper option if we would've got it professionally installed. So factor that in before making your purchase.

This is our fourth Electrolux Microwave. We updated from the previous model with the opening button on side. We went thru four of them because the plastic broke (crumbled) on each unit. We were hoping Electrolux was concerned enough with their product to correct this issue with the EI30SM55JS30. We have had this unit approximately three months and the plastic is once again beginning to break. DO NOT PURCHASE AN ELECTROLUX PRODUCT. We were trying to keep a matched set with our range because our kitchen remodel was designed around these products. WE GIVE UP AND WILL PURCHASE ANOTHER BRAND.

With OptimaWave technology you can regulate cooking times and temperatures in this stylish microwave to best fit your tastes for delicious meals and snacks
I strongly caution against purchasing this device. Please take a moment to read the other negative reviews about this microwave. It is a very attractive model with nice features, but if you are expecting to have your $800 investment last longer than a couple of years, you are mistaken. If you browse around you will find that this is true of other Kitchenaid products as well. Be very careful with what you purchase! I also cannot express strongly enough that the service provided under the Kitchenaid warranty is nothing more than additional revenue for their company. After many visits, they left me with only the option to purchase a completely new unit. The service and the quality of the unit were absolutely terrible.

I don't have problems with the actual microwave cooking, I have a problem with the hoop cover. It is a part that never gets touched and it has broken twice. I called Electrolux and like many others the customer service is horrible. My issues is definately a manufacturer defect but they are not willing to look at it. The lady that answered the phone said she had never heard of it, yeah the lady answering the phone sounds real techy (not). Not sure I would buy Electrolux again.

After first use, it stopped heating and the magnetron had to be replaced. Then within the 5 year warranty period, it stopped heating again and the magnetron needed to be replaced again. During the $89.95 service call, fuses were blown and the tech called for help and found that the transformer was bad too. The estimated repair cost was $450. We decided to buy a different brand. The unit failed twice in less than 5 years and is too costly to repair. I would not recommend this product.

We purchased this product 5 years and 1 month to the day, and the magnetron went out exactly 1 month out of warranty. Repair estimates are $450 (for parts and labor)! We really thought GE was better than this after replacing a wall oven that was 30+ years old and still working fine when we updated it. 5 years and nearly $1000 (after product, tax & shipping) = GE FAIL!

I've found it to be a fine microwave in terms of power - it's not the strongest, but it's not the weakest either, in terms of microwaves I've had and used over the past decade. I've had the model 5 years. It did need to be serviced twice. First, something blew (literally) - puff of smoke and light, and it was gone. Fortunately I had a warranty - this was probably the 4th year of owning it. Now, year 5, one of the plastic hooks (plastic, seriously?) that holds the door closed broke off - and without the hook, the microwave refuses to turn on. I'm waiting to find out if it's covered in my warranty. It seems microwaves are going the route of every other appliance - they used to work for 20 years (I gave my 15+ year Amana Radarange away when I bought this new condo 3 years ago, and it never needed to be serviced, that thing was a tank), now they break twice in five years. Sigh. Finally, since my microwave came with the place, I don't know exactly what this would cost - whether it's the same price as listed here. It does seem a lot for a microwave. And while it's pretty, it doesn't feel quite like the tank my Radarange was. As as someone else noted, to reiterate, it's not the most powerful microwave on the market. It's ok. But just okay.

I bought this unit a mainly due to the sleek look, solid construction, and interesting features. It turned out to be by far the most used device in my kitchen. I'll never build or remodel a house without it. On a subsequent property, I installed a Whirlpool Microven, which would get about 3 stars - if the handle hadn't broken off twice. If you've never used one of these types of units, imagine throwing a frozen steak into the unit, pressing 3 buttons, and coming back in 30 mins with a perfectly cooked steak.Pros:+ Very broad list of pre-programmed recipes+ Great feature that let's you throw in a frozen food, and it will defrost then automatically cook it. Saves a lot of time back-and-forth.+ Cooks steaks very well...best of these types of ovens.Cons:+ None
